Easily upload contracts to the system by dragging and dropping files directly into the web interface, or by attaching them to emails sent to a designated address.
Once uploaded, the application automatically extracts text from PDF documents using both embedded text extraction (PyPDF2) and advanced optical character recognition (OCR) via Amazon Textract, ensuring even scanned documents are fully readable.
Beyond simple text extraction, contracts are sent to Amazon Bedrock for sophisticated AI analysis. This process automatically identifies and extracts critical information, including:
- A concise, one-sentence summary of the contract's purpose.
- The termination date.
- A list of unique upcoming events (e.g., payments, deliverables, renewals) scheduled on or after the current date.
- Important reference dates and debug dates for internal auditing.
- The names of primary parties involved in the contract.
Centralized Contract Management & Search
All processed contract data, including compressed text and extracted metadata, is securely stored in DynamoDB, while the original PDF files are maintained in S3.
Quickly find contracts using a robust full-text search function powered by OpenSearch. Search results provide relevant snippets of text where your query was matched, with highlighting for easy identification.
View all your contracts in a unified "Files" section, with options to sort them by file name or upload date for better organization. The system supports pagination to efficiently load large numbers of contracts.
In-Depth Contract Insights & Interaction
A dedicated modal provides a central hub for each contract, allowing you to:
- View Core Information: See the file name, upload date, contract summary, and access a securely generated, time-limited link to the original PDF document.
- Manage Associated Documents: Upload and view related files or supplementary documents directly within the context of a main contract, creating a complete document package.
- Track Significant Events: Review all AI-extracted upcoming events relevant to the contract. These events can also be easily added to your personal calendar (Google, Outlook, Apple Calendar).
- Consult AI (Chat): Engage in a conversational Q&A with the contract text using an integrated AI assistant (Claude 3 Sonnet), allowing you to ask specific questions and receive answers based solely on the document's content. This helps in quickly understanding contract clauses without extensive reading.
- Identify Same Party Transactions: Discover other contracts within your system that involve the same parties as the contract you're currently viewing, facilitating cross-referencing and relationship management.
- Contract Deletion: If necessary, contracts can be permanently deleted from the system through a confirmed action.

The dashboard provides a quick glance at all upcoming contract events within the next 60 days, allowing for proactive management and preventing missed deadlines.
User & Account Administration
Administrators can invite new users, manage existing user roles (e.g., set as admin), and delete users, maintaining control over access to contract data. User authentication is handled securely via Amazon Cognito.
Manage your subscription plan, update payment methods via Stripe, and review detailed invoices that break down usage costs by metrics such as pages uploaded, storage used, and AI tokens consumed. This transparency helps in understanding and controlling your expenditures.
